Hi Mommy Mom😊
How are you?? How is your health doing? I'm so glad that your lesson went well. Does Preston go to that class now? Or does he still go with the youth?
So, grandma is a bit nervous for school to start. Is her strength coming back pretty good? I pray for her. Tell her thank you for me. She sent me a beautiful letter. She is another incredible that I have been blessed with❤
I'm so proud of Preston. Haha I miss him so much! He is the greatest kid! He is destined to do incredible things. I'm sure you know that!! I'm sure you are proud of Spencer and Ben. I truly have amazing brothers. HOW DID I GET SO LUCKY????
We had a very very nice week. Yesterday, we sat by a sweet medically less active lady during sacrament. Last fast Sunday (this really shouldn't happen haha!) but our investigator L bribed me into bearing my testimony. Since I bore it last month I was definitely not planning on sharing it again!! So, this less active (haha she's so cute) so she leans over to me and whispers to me, "If I go up can you come with me?" What was I supposed to do? Say no?! The second she asked me I had an overwhelming feeling of the Spirit. That sweet sister softened my heart. I bore my testimony of repentance, forgiveness, the Atonement, and Christ's love. I talked about the experience that I had last week when I was emailing you and I singled out the teenagers a little bit and told them that someday I hope they forgive their parents because parents KNOW EVERYTHING! Many parents came up to me afterwards and thanked me. I hoped that my experience with the Atonement could help someone else. My goodness how blessed we are to have the Atonement!!!
We have a new investigator! Her name is M. We found her street contacting and she is AWESOME!!! She talked about a few huge things that she is struggling with right now so we shared Ether 12:27 with her and she was just mind blown. She already loves the Book of Mormon. She asked us to please come back! We have an appointment with her tomorrow. We are excited to see how it goes!
Yesterday we had dinner with a member and there were 2 nonmembers there. One of them was a family member and the other his caregiver. D (the family member) is severely disabled because 6 years ago he got a flu shot and had an extreme reaction which caused him to now be special needs. Don't you think that made me feel just GREAT about shots??? AHHHHH NO!!!! Haha anyways that's not the point of why I wanted to share this. He used to ride professionally ride horses in rodeos! His speech is extremely slow. It takes him about 2 minutes to say a complete sentence. I had a really sweet connection with him. He said I sounded just like his younger sister she is also a member of the church💕He was the sweetest thing. Despite his major challenges, he couldn't stop saying how much he loved life. I thought of Joshua boy a lot while we were with him. People with special needs are warriors. They are so pure. D teared up when we shared the Restoration with him. He felt God's love for him. It was such a special experience.
Missionary work is the best!! You can meet so many people that heavily impact your life and because of the gospel they can experience the same thing. It's a win-win situation. Why wouldn't people want to do missionary work??? Look for opportunities to be missionaries! You don't need a name tag! It's part of our divine calling as members of the church.
Thank you for everything my wonderful Mommy Mom! I hope your week goes great and that everyone treats you like a queen😄I love you to the moon and back!
Keep trying. Keep trusting. Keep believing. Keep growing. Heaven will be cheering you on today, tomorrow, and forever.
Can you give grandma a hug for me and tell her I love her??
